Ricardo Ribeiro nasceu na ilha Terceira dos Açores, a insularidade foi um dos grandes obstáculos para concretizar um dos seus sonhos, aos 17 anos a infelicidade bate-lhe à porta dum acidente de viação resultou danos irreversíveis ao nível dos seus membros inferiores e atrofia nos superiores, Ricardo necessita da ajuda da mãe e familiares para praticamente tudo, sua coluna vertebral nunca mais recuperou e muitos sonhos se desfizeram, mas um foi possível Paulo Almeida fundador do movimento concretizou um dos grandes sonhos, ver ao vivo o seu Benfica, foi a 17 de Julho de 2005 num amigável Benfica-Chelsea em plena Catedral no Estadio da Luz em Lisboa.

Olá meu grande amigo Paulo. Deixa só corrigir uma coisinha, sofri meu acidente tinha eu 17 anos hoje 27 já se passou 10 anos e tu realizaste-me um sonho ver o Benfica no seu novo e lindo estádio... Tudo começou num encontro casual nas festas de Angra em que ao me veres e ao fim de falar-mos um pouco dizes-te: Eu farei tudo que poder para ires ver o teu Benfica ao vivo.

Eu pensei; oh mais um que promete e não compre...Mas errei Paulo prometeu e cumpriu, fez muito por mim e eu lhe sou grato por tudo que fez por mim...

Muitas foram as batalhas e difamação que sofres-te por acreditares que aqui podia-mos criar a primeira claque em prol do desporto e do fair play, mas a mentalidade aqui é pouca pra não dizer nenhuma mas sei que com a tua força iremos um dia conseguir.

Acredita no My Name is Fair Play! que eu sempre estarei contigo...
